For the exhibition (re)connecting.earth Kiel, Marie Griesmar was invited to pursue her underwater park series, where ceramics sculptures depicting endemic species in the Baltic Sea were installed in a bay of the Baltic Sea. Her work reflected potential transformations in the ecosystem due to climate change.

At one of the satellite locations of the nomadic Biennial, visitors were invited to dive or snorkel - with the association Snorkeling City - to observe these pieces and draw them using a kit the artist prepared that uses special underwater paper to document and log in excursions. A practice Griesmar uses in her scuba-diving explorations.

The drawings made on-site by visitors, shortly before the official beginning of the exhibition, were displayed at Stadtgalerie

during the exhibition, alongside ceramics that Griesmar installed in Lake Geneva the year before.
